School of Languages and Communication (SOLAC)
The School of Languages and Communication (SOLAC) at Kobe University was established in 2003 for the purpose of designing, developing, and implementing the university’s foreign language curriculum. Considering the importance of foreign language skills today, SOLAC is committed to providing the best possible language education to all Kobe University students. SOLAC also conducts a wide range of research activities in the fields of linguistics, education, applied linguistics, and literature. The faculty members are therefore involved in both foreign language education at the undergraduate level and also in advanced education and research training at the postgraduate level.
